Leicester Square is one of the squares more traversed of London, around 22 million people the year. His name derive from the building that according to the earl of Leicester it made to build here in 1631. Leicester Square is known from the tourists for major cinemas stand on three sides, for cheap restaurants, nights club, portrait artists and for the Half Price Tickets, kiosk that sells cut price, discount theatre tickets.

The square opens between Piccadilly Circus and Trafalgar Square. In the center of the the square is a copy of the Shakespeare memorial in Westminster Abbey, and around there are the busts of Isaac Newton, Sir Joshua Reynolds (the first president of the Royal Accademy), the painter and engraver William Hogarth, John Hunter and Charlie Chaplin. The whole square is a pedestrian area, so you are safe from the ravages of London cars
